Interact Clubs

The Stafford Rotary currently sponsors an Interact Club in every high school in Stafford County: Brooke Point, Stafford, North Stafford, Colonial Forge High Schools, and Mountain View, as well as the Gladys Oberle School. Interact Clubs are service clubs for young people ages 14 through 18 or secondary school-aged students. Interact Clubs carry out service projects that serve the school and the Community, as well as projects that further international understanding.

  •         Relay for Life
  •         30-hour famine
  •         Red Cross Blood Drives

  •         Various food and clothing drives for the homeless and residents of Hope House
  •         Adoption' of families at Thanksgiving and Christmas
  •         Tutoring of elementary school children and those in the Head Start program
  •         Visiting nursing homes, including Christmas caroling

SHELTERBOXES are self-contained, portable units for disaster relief.Boxes

are packed ‘disaster specific’ and can contain such items as a 10-person, insulated

tent, sleeping mats/mosquito net, cooking/eating equipment including

a cook stove, hand tools, water purification pills/water containers,

shovel, etc. ShelterBox responds to both natural and man-made disasters.

and Somalia. Boxes are sponsored for $900 US (including transportation)

by the donations of individuals, groups and organizations. Partial donations are pooled for
