We had another successful fund raising event at Stafford Regional Airport this year. There were lots and lots of airplanes, antique cars and motorcycles. Thousands of ducks were adopted for the duck drop, and we raised the funds we need for our community and international projects. Plus a great time was had by all! |

The Dictionary Project
Rotary International places empasis on fighting illiteracy. One of the projects that all Rotary clubs are encouraged to participate in is the Dictionary Project which helps make dictionaries available to third grade students. This year we have donated dictionaries to students at Parkside Elementary in Spotsylvania and Kate Waller Barrett Elementary, Anne E. Moncure, Elementry and Rocky Run Elementary Schools in Stafford.

Volunteer Work Trip to Honduras - January, 2007 |

Ten Rotarians from the Stafford and Rappahannock/Fredericksburg Rotary Clubs accompanied thirty sudents from the UMW Rotaract and Campus Christian Community to El Progresso, Honduras to repair homes and help at the Copprome and Pro Nino orphanages. |

Suitcases to Go - St. Petersburg Halloween |

One of our international projects this year is to provide assistance to several orphanages in St. Petersburg, Russia, in Peru and in Honduras. We have received a District Simplified Grant to provide vitamins for these children. The club members are providing non-prescription medical supplies and treats for the children. We send these supplies in suitcases with friends who are headed to those destinations. Our suitcases to St. Petersburg included candy and party supplies for a big Halloween party. |

The Rotary Club of Stafford supported the American Cancer Society's relay for Life fund raising event. Our team goal was $11,000 this year. Of course, we met our goal. |

Every May the Rotary Club of Stafford enters a team of walkers in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, an all night walk to raise money for cancer research. Our 2006 goal is to raise $11,000 for the Cancer Society. |
