Album Name: Volunteer Work Trip to Honduras - January, 2007 Return to Albums

Description: Ten Rotarians from the Stafford and Rappahannock/Fredericksburg Rotary Clubs accompanied thirty sudents from the UMW Rotaract and Campus Christian Community to El Progresso, Honduras to repair homes and help at the Copprome and Pro Nino orphanages.

Working on the roof. Rotarian Jeff Small This tiny house was home to a very large family. The volunteers built an addition for them.
The people in Siete de Abril were mostly persons displaced by Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Their houses are constructed of wood posts, corrugated tin, cardboard, plastic and anything else they were able to find to build shelters of. Rotarian Carlos melendez laying a foundation of concrete blocks.

Jeff goofing around. Jeff has found a way to get the college kids to work harder. Rotarian Linda Govenides worked hard even after surgery on her jaw. She was happy there was a skilled doctor from Cuba handy when she needed medical help.
